Lluvia Rodriguez was found guilty by a Houston, Texas jury on Tuesday of biting off her sister Ivon Rodriguez's nose.
However, instead of jail time for the gruesome assault, Lluvia Rodriguez got five years on probation, reports the Houston Chronicle.
Lluvia Rodriguez and her husband were fighting when Ivon Rodriguez tried to break it up on July 14, 2012.
According to court papers, "The defendant assaulted [her sister] by biting her arm with her teeth. The defendant then bit the [victim's] nose off, severing it and detaching her nose from her face, causing pain and serious bodily injury."
Ivon Rodriguez had her nose reattached at the Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, reports ClickOnDetroit.com.
She also testified against her sister, who has been in jail for almost a year.
After being found guilty of felony aggravated assault of a family member, Lluvia Rodriguez was given probation, ordered to pay $500 fine, $62,000 in restitution and $50 to Crime Stoppers.
Lluvia Rodriguez also has to have a psychological evaluation, perform 240 hours of community service and attend a life skills class.
She is not allowed to use illegal drugs or alcohol, and cannot own a gun.
Additionally, Lluvia Rodriguez must write a letter of apology to her sister.
