Leanna Harris, the mother of the 22-month-old who died after being left in his father’s hot car, is now under investigation for possibly being involved.
Justin Ross Harris was arrested after his 22-month-old son Cooper was left in his hot car for seven hours and died. Harris maintains that he mistakenly left his son in the car for seven hours while he was at work, but strange evidence shows that his story may not be true.
Since Harris was arrested, his wife Leanna has stood by him, staunchly defending her husband and saying that she believes he did not mean to leave their son in the car. At her son’s funeral, Leanna told a crowd of attendees that she would continue to stay at her husband’s side throughout the ordeal.
“Am I angry with Ross?" she asked. "Absolutely not. It has never crossed my mind. Ross is and was and will be, if we have more children, a wonderful father. Ross is a wonderful daddy and leader for our household. Cooper meant the world to him."

Now, police say they are investigating Leanna because of her strange behavior during the court proceedings and because of odd statements she made following the death of her son. During her husband’s preliminary hearing, Leanna reportedly sat emotionless and listened to a slew of accusations against Justin, including reports that he was “sexting” underage girls while Cooper died in the car.
Reports also say that when Leanna was informed by daycare workers that Justin had never dropped Cooper off on the day of his death, Leanna reportedly said, “Ross must have left him in the car. There’s no other explanation.”
Prosecutors also say that when Leanna was on the phone with her mother the day of Cooper’s death, the obviously devastated grandmother asked her, “Why aren’t you crying? Why aren’t you reacting?” to which Leanna responded, “I must be in shock.” Additionally, prosecutors have discovered that both Justin and Leanna searched for information on child deaths in hot cars prior to their son’s death.
“She needs to make a deal before the state finds more evidence against her,” criminal defense lawyer Esther Panitch said.

So far, Leanna Harris has not been charged with anything in connection to what prosecutors say was a planned murder.
