Known Illegal Immigrant Allegedly Killed 16-Year-Old U.S. Citizen With A Machete
It has just been discovered that an illegal immigrant, who is currently on trial for hacking up a 16-year-old United States high school student in a national forest in Texas, was known to authorities for years before the incident occurred.
"Court records show that Cristian Alexander Zamora, an illegal alien from El Salvador, was charged and fined for driving without a valid driver’s license in Texas in 2011," reports CNS News.
The man, 22 year-old Cristian Alexander Zamora, is currently being held without bail in federal court for allegedly murdering 16 year-old Josael Guevara in a national forest.
Zamora, who was aided by Ricardo Campos-Lara, is accused of murdering the teenage boy with a machete and attempting "to dismember the victim", according to The Houston Chronicle.
“On Sept. 22, 2013, Zamora and Campos-Lara, both of El Salvador, allegedly aided and abetted each other in the murder by striking the victim with a bat and a machete,” says the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas.
The two men are suspected to be members of MS-13, an infamously violent El Salvadorian gang. Both suspects have been linked to the gang in numerous ways, including Facebook messages and text messages that were found by authorities.
Incredibly, even though Zamora was an illegal alien as well as a member of the violent MS-13 gang, the man was given a $136 fine and then set free, with no further investigation following the incident.
Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have issued immigration detainers on both Zamora and Campos-Lara. This means that if the two men are released from custody for whatever reason, ICE will detain them and make sure they are given immigration hearings.
CNS News writes, "CNSNews.com asked [Greg] Palmore [the spokesperson of ICE] if ICE had been contacted by any Texas law enforcement agency when Zamora was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license in 2011. Palmore did not comment."
