Woman Who Killed Man And Took Selfie Has 'No Remorse'

| by Michael Doherty

A woman who murdered her father-in-law explained her motive for taking a selfie with the corpse, saying, "It was just something that made me really happy."

Amanda Taylor stabbed her father-in-law, Charles Taylor, to death in 2015 at his home in Ellett, Virginia, the Daily Mail reports. The 26-year-old woman was sentenced to life in prison for the crime.

The mother of two murdered Charles after her husband, Rex, killed himself in August 2014. Amanda blamed her 59-year-old father-in-law for her husband's suicide, and said that she killed him as revenge.

"I have absolutely no remorse for what I did to Charlie Taylor at all," said Amanda in an interview with Crime Watch Daily. "I did exactly what I wanted to do."

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

"I just wanted him to feel the pain I felt," she added. "That's the most alive I've felt since Rex died."

"I was very happy, I was very happy just to finally get all that built-up hate and anger and all those feelings out on him," she said, describing the April 4, 2015 murder. "When I stabbed him I didn't see anything and he just looked at me and he was like, 'What are you doing?' and as I was stabbing him, he had reached up and got my hair."

She went on to describe how she and her accomplice, Sean Ball, continued to attack Charles. Ball was later convicted of second-degree murder, and sentenced to 60 years in prison.

"I continued to stab him but he kept yelling and it made me nervous so Sean took the crow bar, the tire iron or whatever, and hit him in the back of the head," she said.

After she had killed him, she posed for a selfie with his remains.

"I was just really excited and I was like hey I'm gonna take a picture so I can post it and show everyone," she said, explaining her motivation for taking the photo. "It was just something that I ... it made me really happy."

She posted the image to social media, writing, "I proudly did this for Rex," Crimefeed reports.

"Everything I did was for the right reasons. I stabbed my father-in-law to death because he destroyed my husband," she wrote on Instagram. "I wasn't the perfect wife, but this was one last good thing I could do."

Amanda also said during the interview that she had attempted to get in touch with terror group ISIS, but the group did not contact her back.

"I wasn't trying to join ISIS," Amanda said. "I wasn't going to go blow anything up in the name of ... you know. I had this weird obsession with it for a minute and I tried to reach out but obviously nothing happened from it."

In March, Amanda made a request for a new trial, which a Court of Appeals in Virginia denied.
