Jessica Bell Sentenced For Child Porn Videos Depicting Herself In Sexual Conduct With Her Own Son

A Wisconsin woman has been sentenced to seven years in prison for filming videos showing herself in sexual conduct with her toddler son.

Jessica Bell, 25, of Oak Creek, Wis., was found guilty of possessing child pornography, and her 4-year-old son now lives with relatives in another state and has a different last name than his mom.

The Journal Sentinel reports that Bell moved from Washington state to Racine, Wis., to be with her half-brother, Justin Surber, and went on to work for the state Department of Corrections.

Bell became uncomfortable with her half-brother’s influence after she made the videos and asked her mother to take her son as she moved to Oak Creek.

Surber told Bell’s new boyfriend to check Bell’s computer. That’s when he found emails between Bell and Surber, and the pornographic videos. The boyfriend then called police and the 25-year-old mother was arrested and charged in 2013.

The child was between 20 months old and 2 years old when Bell allegedly molested him and recorded the videos, The Journal Times reports.

Bell blamed Surber, who is charged with incest for his relationship with his half-sister and has a trial set for February, but he was not around when she made the videos, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Stephanie Rothstein noted.

"There is no coercion defense," the judge said.

Rothstein ordered Bell to have no contact with the boy for 17 years, and she will be on the state sex offender registry for life.

Bell still faces 10 felony counts in Racine County, and she is set to enter guilty pleas in that case in January, the Sentinel reports.
