Jesse Beam Assaults his Grandmother Over Chicken Salad Comment

| by Michael Allen

In Spartanburg, South Carolina, a 67-year-old grandmother returned home from the grocery store and told her grandson, Jesse Beam, that she had bought some chicken salad.

However, Jesse Beam misheard her and yelled: “Don’t call me chicken, again!” according to a Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office report.

Beam’s grandmother tried to explain to Jesse she was not calling him chicken, but he threw a bowl of food at her and shoved her to the ground.

The unnamed grandmother suffered cuts, contusions and possibly a broken nose.

Beam was arrested for assault and battery and booked into the Spartanburg County jail, where he is unable to post the $2000 bond.
