James Hackett Arrested for Throwing French Fries at Stepdaughter
In Lowell, Massachusetts, James Hackett was arrested on charges that he threw hot French fries at his young stepdaughter, who was not named.
Police say Hackett and his wife began arguing after leaving McDonald’s. That's when his stepdaughter entered the verbal fight and Hackett allegedly threw the fries in her face, according to CBS Boston.
As a condition of his bail release, Hackett must stay away from the girl, who was not suriously injured.
Hackett pleaded not guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon, the French fries. He will be back in court in August.

Utterly absurd. This was not arrest worthy. I don't even think it was anyone outside the family's business. No wonder 68 year old bus monitors are treated cruelly by teens.
A better argument could be
A better argument could be made that the dangerous assault was in taking her to McDonalds in the first place. (In fairness to McD's, they HAVE been adding more healthier food options to their menus, but the reputation remains)

Assault with a DANGEROUS weapon??? I've heard of Scud missiles, from Desert Storm days. But SPUD missiles? Except, as I recall, McDonald's "fries" don't actually contain any potato. (Where I come from, they often don't contain much heat either, even before one leaves the premises.)
Tell them you want fries with
Tell them you want fries with no salt. They gotta make new ones, then just add your own.
