Man Rapes Daughters And Family Dog, Sentenced To 3 Years

| by Jonathan Constante

An Australian man who admitted to sexually abusing his two young daughters, the family dog and also his chickens will be released from prison in less than three years.

The man, whose name was not released, was sentenced in October, the Daily Mail reported. He pleaded guilty to one count of persistent sexual exploitation of a child, two counts of bestiality, and one count of aggravated indecent assault.

The 27-year-old Adelaide native sexually assaulted his 3-year-old daughter and 9-year-old step daughter. He also abused the family dog and sexually penetrated chickens.

Most of the abuse occurred against his stepdaughter, who was between 9 and 11 at the time. The abuse happened while she was asleep, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported.

The man told the court that he too had been abused as a child, and that he had sexual contact with dogs during his childhood. According to a psychologist's report, the man had “distorted attitudes” and started to feel “aroused by the wrongfulness" of his sexual behavior.

The suspect first confessed to his crimes in a letter written to his then-wife. She notified the police shortly after.

“My beautiful, innocent children certainly never, ever deserved such terrible violations of their bodies and hearts,” the wife said in a victim impact statement.

District Court Judge Paul Muscat sentenced the man to six-years-seven-months in prison. The sentence was reduced after a full confession, and the man was given a non-parole period of three-and-a-half-years.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true:

“You abused and betrayed in the most serious way possible your position as father of the children to satisfy your abnormal sexual desires,” Judge Muscat said in court. “You know you must now pay the price.”

The judge added that the man’s crimes were “unnatural,” “gross and disturbing.”

The man is banned from seeing or contacting his family. He agreed to undergo treatment to suppress his urges.

Judge Mascot said that the sentence reduction came as a result of the man’s confessions and strong motivation to recover.

“Offenders should be encouraged to come clean and accept their criminal actions,” the judge said.
