Police have identified the man who was found brutally murdered behind a Walmart in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on the night of Dec. 17.
Clifford Miller, 42, was discovered naked with both his head and genitals detached from his body. Two months earlier, he had come to New Mexico from Oklahoma in pursuit of a job, according to the Albuquerque Journal.
Investigators believe Miller was dumped behind the Walmart after having been slain somewhere else. They are unsure whether the mutilation took place before or after his death.
"What we know is that his body was put there by someone," Officer Fred Duran told the New York Daily News. "We don't know who, we don't know how."

Miller was divorced in 2003. His former sister-in-law, Chandel Fults, told the Albuquerque Journal that she broke the news to Miller's ex-wife and children.
"She was crying when I talked to her," Fults said. "I had to tell her oldest daughter myself. How would you take it if you had to be told your dad died?"
Fults added that she didn't know what kind of job Miller had relocated to New Mexico for. She said he had previously worked for a roofing company in Oklahoma.

"I don't see him as a person that this could actually happen to," she said. "He was goofy, he wasn't into drugs or anything. He was a good guy."
Court records show that Miller was charged with minor drug-related offenses in the mid-'90s, according to KOAT. One such offense was the unlawful cultivation of marijuana.
