Islamic Cult Member Charged With Murder, Rape, Sodomy After Starving Infant To Death

| by Sean Kelly

Calvin Mcintosh, a 44-year-old Islamic cult member, has been charged with murder, rape and sodomy after two children he fathered with his 23-year-old daughter Najlaa were found malnourished in a Gwinnett County, Georgia, hotel room. A 15-month-old girl Mcintosh also fathered starved to death after being brought to a Gwinnett County hospital by her father.

After bringing 15-month-old Alcenti to the hospital seeking medical attention, Mcintosh was arrested. Authorities then went to the Extended Stay Hotel in Peachtree Corners where they found Najlaa and her two children, along with Alcenti’s mother Iasia Sweeting, 21, who was lying on the hotel room floor covered in blankets and “in desperate need of medical attention,” according to the Daily Mail. Sweeting reportedly weighed 59 pounds at the time she was found.

Gwinnett County police corporal Edwin Ritter told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in an emailed statement that Alcenti “was determined to be dead on arrival,” and that hospital staff had notified authorities after they determined the infant’s death was “most likely a case of neglect and abuse.”

Ritter said that when police searched the hotel room, they discovered a significant amount of literature “in reference to ritualistic behavior and the Nubian Nation of Moors, an Islam based cult which is known for being a sovereign group.” According to Ritter’s statement, Calvin Mcintosh “ordered Najlaa to deprive the children and Iasia of food if they are disobedient.” The children found in the hotel room are currently in the custody of the Division of Family and Children Services.

“The Gwinnett County Medical Examiner ruled starvation as the cause of death for Alcenti,” Ritter said.
