An Indiana State Police trooper was arrested over the weekend and charged with criminal recklessness with a weapon, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement. Trooper Christopher Dyer has been with the department for two years. According to reports, Dyer was waving a gun inside Sahm's Bar and Grill early on Sunday morning.

When police were able to find Dyer, he had a .27 percent blood alcohol content. He was agitated and pushed one of the officers who confronted him. He was taken to the Hamilton County Jail and was expected to be released after posting bond.

"Once Dyer has posted bond, he will be placed on administrative duty pending the resolution of the criminal charges against him," ISP Sgt. Rich Myers wrote in a press release. The ISP will conduct an internal investigation about the matter, RTV 6 reported.

"The final result of an internal investigation could be disciplinary action inclusive of reprimand, suspension or termination of employment," Myers said.
