An Illinois woman apparently thought that people go to the library to get something besides reading material.
In response to a citizen filing a complaint, police arrested 18-year-old Alexandra Bandrowiscz for selling ecstasy out in front of the Waukegan Library.
After receiving a tip about a female selling drugs outside of the library, the Waukegan Police Gang Intelligence Unit set up a surveillance team in the area. The team observed Bandrowiscz try to peddle some of her wares to someone in a vehicle and then moved in.
When officers approached her, they found that Bandrowiscz had 19 ecstasy pills in her possession.
Bandrowiscz was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession with intent to deliver, WLSAM reported.
Her bond was set at $10,000. She is scheduled to appear in Lake County Circuit Court on Aug. 22.
