Law enforcement officials said Omar Mateen’s wife may be facing at least two charges in the Orlando, Florida, mass shooting case.
Omar Mateen’s wife, Noor Salman, told authorities she tried talking her husband out of going to Pulse, an LGBT nightclub in Orlando, on June 12. However, investigators have reportedly obtained surveillance footage of Salman buying ammunition with Mateen, according to CBS News.
Salman told the FBI that Mateen had recently visited Pulse nightclub and Walt Disney World to scout out locations for attacks, People magazine notes.
Salman also tried calling Mateen several times during the mass shooting, CNN reported. She sent him a text saying she loved him.
Law enforcement officials did not specify what specific charges Salman might be facing.
Mateen and Salman met online and got married on Sept. 29, 2011, according to their marriage license, ABC News reports. They have a 3-year-old son together.
