‘I Don’t Think I’m A Bad Mom’: Mother Arrested When 13-Year-Old Found Drunk, Passed Out

A Florida mother and her boyfriend were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor after her 13-year-old daughter was found intoxicated by Central Florida police.

Carolyn Foster, 44, was arrested on charges of child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Oakland police were called to her apartment over a separate disturbance when officers stumbled across a group of intoxicated people including the passed out teen, who was unresponsive on the floor of a bathroom, police said.

One person in the group allegedly told authorities that the girl had been sneaking beer and vodka until she vomited and passed out in the bathroom.

Police say Foster and her boyfriend Jared Taylor encouraged the teen to drink and even played a drinking game with her.

Foster and Taylor were taken to jail.

"I don't think I'm a bad mom," Foster told WKMG as she bonded out. "I did not allow my daughter to drink alcohol."

She told the news channel that she didn’t know her daughter was drinking. She said she was asleep when the incident occurred.

The teen was removed from the home and the Florida Department of Children and Families was notified.

In an interview with DCF, the teen allegedly admitted she “was sneaking vodka and beer from the kitchen, secretly drinking the drinks in the bathroom.”
