A headless torso has been found in Alabama.
The sheriff’s office said they found the torso in south Alabama near Magnolia Springs. This is after authorities found a severed arm and hand over the weekend, according to the New York Post.
The torso was found with no clothing, according to Baldwin County Sheriff Huey Mack.
Mack said the only identifying feature they have been able to find is a ring on the severed hand, according to The New York Post.
The torso was found when a resident was taking a walk and saw the remains in the creek. The resident then called police according to The New York Post.
Mack said he believes the person was killed in the last 72 hours, according to The State.
"This is a homicide. We have no reason to expect anything else at this time," Al.com quoted Mack as saying. "More than likely it will be a capital murder investigation based on circumstances."
Mack says investigators will work into the night on this case.
