Gynecologist Accused of Taking Nude Pictures of Patients

| by Michael Allen

Dr. Paul Becton Jr. has been accused of taking cell phone pictures of nude female patients while examining them in his Paragould, Ark. office.

The 68-year-old gynecologist is charged with five counts of felony voyeurism, but has not been apprehended yet.

An unidentified patient reportedly told police that Dr. Becton “produced his cellular telephone and took photographs of her pubic region and buttocks."

Arkansas State Police seized Dr. Becton’s phone on April 10, reports The Smoking Gun.

Police claim that Dr. Becton’s cell phone included “numerous images of nude females that appear to have been taken in a medical office during medical examinations."

The pictures had been deleted, but were found on the hard-drive of the cell phone, according to court papers.

Police say the woman who originally filed a complaint appeared in five “nude photographs that were taken without her knowledge or consent.”

"When a woman goes to the doctor, she should expect that her privacy not be violated," prosecuting attorney Scott Ellington told KAIT.

Dr. Becton has practiced gynecology in Arkansas for 30 years.

Women who suspect they may have been victimized are encouraged to contact the Paragould Police Department.
