Janet Strickland, 64, watched as her grandson, also named William Strickland, allegedly shot and killed her husband.

She then stole a bag of money, while her husband lay shot on the street, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Janet Strickland allegedly used the stolen money to take her grandson shopping.

The 19-year-old grandson was held without bond on March 30 in connection with the murder.

Janet Strickland was held on a $500,000 bond on Saturday, but failed to make her court hearing because she is receiving treatment for a lung disease.
