The holidays can be a stressful time for everyone, but some handle the pressure better than others.
According to the New York Daily News, a grandmother at a New Mexico store was arrested this week after she allegedly started choking her granddaughter for a minor offense.
Diana Hendren and her granddaughter were reportedly shopping at a J.C. Penney store in Albuquerque when the child dropped some money on the floor. For whatever reason, that seems to have set her grandmother off. Workers looked up when they heard the girl screaming, “Don’t choke me,” and at that point they immediately intervened.
The police were called in and the grandmother was ultimately arrested on child abuse charges, reports KOAT.
The girl was taken to a hospital so that she could be checked out for injuries.
