Girlfriend Beat With Anger Management Book, Cops Say

A South Carolina man hit his girlfriend in the face with an anger management workbook, according to Spartanburg police.

Sheelah Thompson, 22, and Tyler Ford, 23, were allegedly fighting about their relationship Monday when Ford rolled up his anger management workbook and hit Thompson on the face.

Thompson then cut Ford with a box cutter.

She says she did it because he was trying to strangle her.

He says she stabbed him because she was angry after being hit in the face.

Deputies reported Ford had a deep cut on his arm.

The couple was charged with criminal domestic violence.
