Gerard Streator pleaded guilty to public lewdness on Monday in Waukesha County Circuit Court in Waukesha, Wis.

Streator, 47, was caught in September 2012 having simulated sex with a discarded couch on a public street, notes TheSmokingGun.com.

According to a criminal complaint, Police Officer Ryan Edwards was off duty and jogging outside when he saw “a subject leaning over the couch facing down and it looked like he was having sexual relations with someone on the couch" and Edwards "could see the male’s hips thrusting up and down on the couch.”

Officer Edwards yelled, “What are you doing?” Streator stopped the sex act and ran away, but Edwards said he “could see that the defendant’s penis was erect.”

The cop claimed that Streator “had been thrusting his pelvic area against the cushions and trying to sexually gratify himself by rubbing his penis between the two cushions.”

After pleading guilty to the misdemeanor charge, Streator was sentenced to five months in prison, placed on probation for a year, fined $243, told to keep sober and banned from possessing pornography of any kind.

However, there was no court order for Streator to stay away from attractive furniture.
