Shindiver Grover, Wife, Kids Found Dead After Apparent Murder-Suicide

| by

Police in Johns Creek, Ga., are still working their way through a crime scene with four dead bodies that were discovered on Monday. The deceased have been identified as Shindiver Grover, his wife Damanjit, and their two sons: 12-year-old Sartaj and 5-year-old Gurtej.

Police are being relatively tight-lipped about the case, but the Fulton County medical examiner has determined and revealed the cause of death for all four people. According to the medical examiner (via WSBTV), both children died of sharp-force injuries to the neck and the wife suffered blunt-force head injuries. All three of those deaths have been classified as homicides. Shindiver Grover's death was ruled a suicide by hanging.

Emory Healthcare, Damanjit Grover's employer, released a statement about the loss:

"Daisy was a beloved member of the Emory Healthcare staff and was known for her love and compassion for her children, family and patients. Our deepest sympathy and condolences go out to Daisy’s family members and friends during this time of loss," the statement said.

Mourners gathered at a Sikh place of worship on Monday to help each other cope with the loss. “It is very hard to believe," one leader said at the gathering. "It's a big loss, it's even harder to accept to such a nice loving family.”

Police were alerted about what had befallen the family after a friend of Ms. Grover's called police because she had not came in to work. Police arrived at the family’s first-floor apartment and found the bodies.

Based on what Johns Creek Police Chief Ed Densmore had to say, it will take a while for police to process what they discovered. “It's throughout the apartment. It's a rather complicated crime scene as we go through it,” he said. “We are going to be here for hours.”
