George Zimmerman was punched in the face on July 31 after reportedly bragging about killing Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman, well-known for being acquitted of killing the 17-year-old in February 2012, called 911 and informed the dispatcher that he was at Gators Riverside Grille in Sanford, Florida, when the incident took place.
“What started the argument?” the dispatcher asked, according to 911 call transcripts obtained by WFTV.
“He recognized me," Zimmerman responded. "He told me he was going to kill me he told me he'd [expletive] shoot me and he punched me in the face."

Zimmerman told the dispatcher he was telling a group of people at a table about how he shot and killed the Martin in self-defense. The man then approached him angrily.
“You’re bragging about that?” the man reportedly said to Zimmerman before hitting him in the face.
“This man just punched me in the face,” Zimmerman told the dispatcher.
“Is he still there?” the dispatcher asked.

“Yup," he replied. "He said he's going to kill me. You need to send like three or four cops."
Witnesses reportedly overheard Zimmerman approaching a person and bragging about killing Martin.
“I love your tattoos," Zimmerman allegedly said. "My name is George Zimmerman, you know, that guy who killed Trayvon Martin?”
Zimmerman was considered the victim in the July 31 incident, and the man who punched him could potentially face charges, authorities said.
The shocking incident quickly went viral, with many saying that Zimmerman should not have been bragging about the 2012 incident with Martin.
“Good; this guy is a total loon," one reader commented on the Daily Mail. "He should have been locked up. He is not playing a full deck."
“Will someone please permanently silence or lock this idiot up soon please, thanks,” another added.
This was not the first time Zimmerman was a target over the controversial killing of Martin. More than a year earlier, a man was arrested and accused of trying to kill Zimmerman during a road rage incident.
