A woman was arrested after police say she abandoned her kids at a Waffle House restaurant to go to a nearby bar.
According to reports, 38-year-old Rhiannon Leslie Gentry was arrested and is facing multiple counts of deprivation of a minor. WRDW reports police were called to the Waffle House in Richmond County, Florida, after witnesses saw the woman walk the three children over, sit them down, give them money, and walk back across the street to a Wild Wings Cafe.
Witnesses say Gentry was gone for over an hour, and the kids ages 11, 12, and 12 reportedly began to cry when they realized they didn’t have enough money to pay for their food and that their mom still hadn’t come back to get them.
While talking to a deputy, a waitress saw the woman come back over and walk the crying children across the street towards Wild Wings.
