Two teens reportedly shared a nude photo of a photoshopped girl on their cell phones in class at West Port High School in Ocala, Florida, this week.
The two boys, ages 14 and 15, were cited by police per Florida's sexting statute and charged with a first offense, noted WKMG (video below).
Because this is a first offense, they were charged with a civil infraction.
According to the Ocala Police Department, one teen downloaded the nude picture from Instagram and shared it with the other teen using Kik Messenger, who then passed the image on to his cousin.

Under current law, a young person could be charged as a sex offender for disseminating their own picture. As a result, the victims may be the ones punished. In addition, these laws may be used against children who foolishly circulate pictures of their significant other.
