A Florida couple were arrested after they were reportedly discovered in a college campus’ closet, which they had hid out in for two days.

Amber Campbell and John Arwood were rescued on Dec. 30 from inside a closet on Daytona State College’s campus, although deputies reported that the couple could have escaped at any moment. Despite Arwood’s 911 phone call explaining he and Campbell were trapped, police had no trouble entering or leaving the closet.

When police initially opened the door, they reported smelling meth inside. An object normally used to smoke crack was also reportedly found in the couple’s possession.

After police discovered the couple, the two said they had hid in the closet after being chased on campus by unknown suspects. However, as of Dec. 30, police still had learned nothing about the alleged suspects.

This judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:

Both Campbell and Arwood were later booked at Volusia County Jail on charges of trespassing. Campbell was also charged with violating probation.

Records show the booking was Campbell’s second following charges of aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer with a firearm, escape, resisting an officer with violence and giving a false name upon arrest. The booking was Arwood’s fourth, who was previously arrested for driving with a suspended license, among other things.

Following the couple’s arrest, comments on social media websites began forming on the story.

Mimicking the couple’s reaction after police opened the closer door, one Facebook commenter wrote: “Dude, how did you open the door? That lock must be meth’d up!”

Both Campbell and Arwood are currently being held at Volusia County Jail.
