Brawl Breaks Out Between Ferguson Protesters And St. Louis Rams Football Fans

Ferguson protesters and St. Louis Rams football fans became involved in a massive brawl on Sunday after the Rams beat the Seattle Seahawks at their home stadium.

At around 3 p.m., one football fan reportedly spit on a protester who, along with several others, had gathered outside the Edward Jones Dome to protest the murder of Michael Brown by a white police officer in August, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The fan was then reportedly struck on the head, which spurred others to get involved in the fight.

A second spitting incident was then reportedly caught on camera – but this one apparently involved a female protester spitting on a football fan. The African-American protester reportedly shouted racial expletives that included, “F*** all you white mother***ers,” reports The Blaze.

The same woman was reportedly arrested.

Another protester allegedly jabbed a Rams fan with a pole from an upside-down American flag. A different fan reportedly stole the flag and ran away with it shortly thereafter and protesters chased him down.

In total, two people were injured – including a woman who was allegedly punched in the face for shouting, “Let’s go Rams” to protesters.  Information about the second injury has not been released.

Two women were arrested, including one juvenile.
