Female Tourists Tied in Bikinis, Gang Raped by Masked Robbers
Six Spanish female tourists were recently raped by masked gang members who raided their bungalow in Acapulco, Mexico.
The armed men burst into the bungalow rented by six women and seven men, all under 30 years of age, reports Ibtimes.co.uk.
The gang members tied up the men with phone cables, tied the women in their own bikinis and raped them.
The gang also stole credit cards, computer tablets and 7.800 pesos.
Acapulco is experiencing a bloody drug gang turf war between the Michoacan Family and the Knights Templar.
The gang war has led to numerous murders, including 16 men, who were found naked and tortured in an abandoned van a few months ago.
The Mexican government sent 7,000 troops to Acapulco in an attempt to keep the popular vacation resort safe in October 2011.

Our CIA publishes online
Our CIA publishes online reports for tourists & business people on thousands of cities around the world, as well as their safety evaluation of world governments. Any American who goes abroad without first accessing this information is an idiot. Anyone who knowingly goes into a war zone should not expect to come out unscathed emotionally or physically. Since November, 2012, the US State Department has listed Mexico along with Pakistan, Afganistan, Syria, and other dangerous travel areas for Americans, advising that they can be of little assistance to those who wish to risk traveling there. I'm sure these travel advisories were accessible to these Spanish tourists, which makes me wonder why any foreigner would choose to vacation in Acopulco, a city that has been well-known for its gang wars since 2010.
Just think how much worse it
Just think how much worse it would be, but for Mexico's common-sense gun-control laws.
So Mexican crimes are now
So Mexican crimes are now news here?
Mexi crimes high in
Mexi crimes high in controversy, yes. Much like the Scottish chef thing, the Indian gang rape thing, and all sorts of other news from abroad. It's especially important if it's Mexico because that country borders us. We need to be prepared with data should any of it spread across the border.
Controversy decided by the
Controversy decided by the media. Why this particular crime and not another? Because women tied up with bikinis and raped is more "newsworthy" than just rapes and murders which happen just as often (or more) than here.
