A Facebook status has authorities questioning whether a Philadelphia woman’s death was really an accident.

Rebecca Kim, a pre-pharmacy student at Temple University, died Jan. 15 after falling from an eighth floor window. Authorities initially believed the fall to be an accident. One theory was that 18-year-old Kim was taking pictures on the window’s ledge and lost her balance and fell. This came into question after a status posted to her Facebook page on the day of her death has come to light.

The status was blunt: “It was intentional.”

Authorities have yet to comment on Kim’s words and, for now, will only say that an investigation is ongoing.

Kim crashed into a pedestrian just before hitting the ground, CBS Philadelphia reports. The pedestrian suffered a broken back and lost multiple teeth from the incident and remains in the hospital in stable condition.

“The 44-year-old female, she was conscious, she was talking, she was very upset and she was complaining of pain,” Philadelphia Police Department Chief Inspector Scott Small said in a statement.

Dozens of Kim’s friends and acquaintances took to social media over the weekend to comment on Kim’s death.

“A girl from my social studies class and student at temple passed away,” Temple student Chris Vila wrote. “Send prayers to her family RIP Rebecca Kim.”

Student James Hong chimed in with similar sentiments.

“Prayers are going out tonight,” he wrote. “Rest in peace Rebecca Kim, you will be missed.”
