A former Miami Beach police officer faces felony charges after allegedly drinking with a bachelorette party while on duty, then taking one of the women for a ride on an ATV and hitting two people.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, on July 2 officers Derek Kuilan and Rolando Gutierrez were drinking with the women at a South Beach hotspot while on duty. Kuilan (on the right in the photo) then took the bride-to-be on his beach patrol ATV.

Court documents say Kuilan was speeding and had no lights on when he slammed into two tourists on the beach, leaving one of them in critical condition.

Both officers were fired, but now Kuilan is charged with two felony counts of reckless driving with serious bodily injury and two of DUI with serious bodily injury.
