Hugh Douglas, a former co-host of ESPN's "Numbers Never Lie," has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman inside a Hartford, Conn. hotel room.

According to court documents, Douglas grabbed an unidentified woman by the neck and then “slammed her into the walls several times” inside a Marriott Hotel on Sept. 22.

However, Douglas told police that the woman's injuries happened during rough sex, notes WFSB.

Douglas, who also played for several teams in the NFL, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation.

Douglas will appear in court in late October.

Back in August, Douglas was fired from ESPN after he allegedly called his co-host Michael Smith a “house n-----” and an “Uncle Tom” in an Orlando, Fla. nightclub, reports FTVLive.com.
