'Evil,' 'Casual' Killer Wesley Williams Gets 29-To-Life For Strangling Yvonne Walsh And Her Baby Boy

A 29-year-old psychopath, still fixated on his child-killing former lover, was sentenced to 29 years to life in prison by a judge who called him “evil and dangerous beyond measure” for the “casual” way in which he strangled a different girlfriend and her baby son in June.

Wesley Williams had previously been romantically involved with Rebecca Shuttlesworth who is now in prison for beating her two-year-old son Keanu to death in 2011, a case which sparked controversy over how child protective services failed to shield the child from his abusive mother,

Williams (pictured at right) had been out of prison where he was serving time for an assault when he murdered Yvonne Walsh, a 25-year-old graduate student by strangling her with a ligature as she slept. Williams then strangled Walsh’s seven-month-old son Harrison.

Walsh and her son are pictured below.

The pair had been dating for a few months, but Walsh broke off the relationship days before Williams killed her.

“He could not accept her rejection,” said prosecutor Peter Grieves-Smith. “Quite why he chose to kill Harrison, a child he had looked after and appeared to care for, is unknown.”

After committing the double murder, Williams changed his Facebook status to “single” and posted a message on his page reading, "Sometimes we just have to do things we shouldn't."

He then went out to eat at McDonald’s with friends, where he was seen smiling and joking, smoked some pot, then sent a text message to police telling them that he’d just murdered his girlfriend and informing them where to find the body.

According to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, Williams and child-killing ex-girlfriend Shuttlesworth are now writing each other love letters from their respective prison cells. The two appeared to be obsessed with each other. Shuttlesworth gave her son the last name “Williams” even though Wesley Williams was not the boy’s father.
