An emotional middle school reunion was caught on camera, but it occurred in the most unlikely of places — a courtroom.
Judge Mindy Glazer was presiding over the case of Arthur Booth, a man arrested for theft, on July 2 in court in Miami, Florida, when she had a sudden realization (video below).
“Mr. Booth, I have a question for you,” Glazer said. “Did you go to Nautilus for middle school?”
Booth quickly realized that Glazer was his friend and classmate at Nautilus Middle School, and immediately broke down in tears.

“Oh my goodness!” he exclaimed repeatedly through tears.
“I’m sorry to see you there,” Glazer said. “I always wondered what happened to you, sir. This was the nicest kid in middle school. He was the best kid in middle school.” Glazer explained that the two used to play football together, reports Local 10.
Booth continued to express his disbelief and was overcome with emotion as Glazer spoke highly of him to those in the courtroom.
“Mr. Booth, I hope you’re able to change your ways. Good luck to you,” she said. “What’s sad is how old we’ve become.”

Booth’s cousin, Melissa Miller, said she believes he felt remorse upon seeing Glazer.
“It just brought back memories of how smart he was,” she said. “He was a scholar, well-rounded athlete, bilingual." Booth, who went on to become involved in crime and drugs, is described as a loving father and grandfather despite his life of crime, reports Daily Mail.
“I was heartbroken. I mean, it just broke my heart," Miller said. "We're really trying to find help because there's obviously a need for help."
