In 1889, Oscar Wilde famously wrote that “Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life.” And if Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev would’ve gotten the chance, he would’ve used what he learned from art to dispose of a dead body.
Based on his Twitter account, Tsarnaev was a fan of violent TV shows like “Game of Thrones” and “Breaking Bad”. Earlier in the year he tweeted “Breaking Bad taught me how to dispose of a corpse.”
In season one, episode two, fictional character Jesse Pinkman tries to dispose of a corpse by placing it in a bathtub and dousing it in hydrofluoric acid. But the unintended consequence is that not only does it eat through the body, but through his bathtub as well.
As his need to successfully and efficiently dispose of bodies increases, so does his skill and he begins using plastic barrels rather than a bath tub.
As Pinkman’s methods evolved and became more effective, he became more skilled at one aspect of his chosen craft. We are fortunate we didn’t have to find out if Tsarnaev’s ever did. As it stands he is a complete failure as a criminal, and even more as a human being.
