When Arizona police confronted Karen Francis Williams on Dec. 19 about being parked on the sidewalk with a beer sitting in her lap, she refused to get off her cell phone.
"I have to go, I'm getting arrested for DUI again,” she told the person on the other end.
Her eyes were reportedly bloodshot and she was slurring her speech.
When she still didn’t end the call, an officer grabbed the phone from her hand.

She told police she was picking up her daughter from youth group, but the meeting was running late, so she pulled over to talk to a friend on the phone.
When asked to do a field sobriety test, she said she "did not feel like it."
After an officer learned her license was revoked, she was arrested.
Police told KPHO-TV that Williams drank a six-pack of beer before driving to pick up her daughter at 9 p.m.

Authorities also noticed pills, including hydrocodone, in her possession as she got out of the patrol car at Cottonwood Police Department.
She was charged with driving under the influence and having an open container.
She screamed and attempted to get out of her handcuffs and was later restrained in county jail.
