A Florida woman claims singer Chris Brown stole her iPhone after she snapped a photo of him, and prosecutors confirm they are investigating the incident.
The local CBS station in Miami reports that Brown and another singer were leaving a club in Miami Beach Sunday when a fan followed them out to his car.
Christal Shanae Spann said she pulled out her iPhone and took a picture. Brown was not particularly happy about that.
She said he reached out through the car window and grabbed the phone, saying, “B***h, you ain’t going to put that on no website,” according to a police report. Brown then rolled up his window and drove away with the phone.
On Thursday Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said in a statement:
“My prosecutors are currently speaking with witnesses and reviewing all of the materials supplied by Miami Beach Police. Only after these reviews have been completed would any type of action be considered or taken. This is the basic process that every criminal case in Miami-Dade County undergoes.”
Brown could be charged with the colorfully named "Robbery by Sudden Snatching."
Brown, of course, pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge for an attack on his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
