In Thurmond, West Virginia, Dalton Newhouse was fatally electrocuted in an effort to steal copper, reports the Associated Press.
Newhouse reportedly shot down a power line and then tried to pick it up.
However, he apparently didn't realize the power line was still live with electricity and was killed instantly.

Newhouse and his accomplice planned to strip the power line of its copper wiring and sell the copper, according to Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler.
According to Inquisitr.com, the accomplice, who was identified as Charles Norris, has been charged with an attempt to commit a felony, conspiracy to commit a felony and disruption of a public utility.
