An unemployed California couple has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to child abuse charges that include keeping two young girls who were in their care locked in their filthy trailer park for three years, while they played the online video game World of Warcraft, reports Daily Mail.

Lester and Petra Huffmire, both 42, admitted that they kept a 5 and 10-year-old locked in their Anaheim mobile home and prevented them from going to school while they went about their day, which included spending several hours at a time playing the interactive video game.

A neighbor tipped police off to what was happening in the home and when they investigated, cops say they found kitchen appliances covered in mold and cobwebs, inoperable toilets, piles of garbage and feces, and used condoms under a stuffed teddy bear.

It isn’t clear how the girls are related to the couple, but they reportedly lived with them from May 2010 until May 2013. Police say they were underfed and had dirty hair and feet and rotted teeth.

Lester was sentenced on Tuesday to five years in a state prison for child abuse and false imprisonment, reports the Daily News. His wife will spend three years and four months in prison for similar charges.
