A teen girl was allegedly raped this past weekend at a Keith Urban concert in Mansfield, Mass.
Bystanders reportedly watched the assault and filmed it on their cell phones.
Sean Murphy, 18, is accused of the rape, but claims the 17-year-old girl consented to sex at the Xfinity Center during the concert on Saturday night, reports the The Sun Chronicle.
According to the police report, Murphy and the girl were kissing near a concession stand.
Murphy allegedly led the girl away from her friends to the lawn part of the ampitheater, but she only went with him because "she was afraid of what would happen" if she didn't, claims Assistant District Attorney Melissa Tafe.
The alleged sexual assault was filmed by concertgoers, who said they only filmed the sex act because they thought it was consensual.
"My friend told me to look over there and there was a couple on the ground having intercourse. So we looked at it, and we took pictures and we thought it was consensual," one unidentified female voyeur told My Fox Boston.
After about a minute, one woman asked the teen, "Do you want this?" When the teen said she said she didn't, the woman reportedly pulled Murphy off the girl who was naked from the waist down.
The woman then approached a police officer at the concert to report a possible rape on the lawn, notes CBS Boston.
After police closed off the exits, witnesses identified Murphy, who was arrested. He pleaded innocent to rape charges.
Police say that Murphy admitted he was drunk on Jack Daniels and beer, but “stressed that he did not force himself on her.”
Murphy’s lawyer said in statement on Tuesday: "Put simply, this was a consensual act, not a sexual assault. There are no allegations of force or violence against him. This was a private act that regrettably occurred in a public place."
