Two managers of a Domino's pizza outlet in Florida came up with a pretty innovative idea to gain market share for their product -- they allegedly burned down the competition.

According to a report from the Ocala Star-Banner, Sean Davidson and Bryan Sullivan are both charged with arson for setting fire to a Papa John's restaurant near their Domino's location in Lake City on October 20.

Police say the motive was to increase business by getting rid of the competing chain.

Indeed, the fire gutted the restaurant. Police say the men confessed to the crime.

Cops are still looking for an ignition device that the pair was going to use but decided against it. They tossed the device, concocted of a clock, battery and gunpowder, out of a car window somewhere on I-75.

Police say the men told them that they dismantled the device before throwing it away, however ATF experts say while it will no longer explode, it could flash and seriously hurt someone.
