College Student Pleads Not Guilty To Assault After Pushing Woman Off Roof (Video)

A Massachusetts college junior has pleaded not guilty to assault after being caught on camera shoving a fellow student off of a roof at a house party (video below).

Alexander Marquez, 20, a student at Bridgewater State University, in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, reportedly pushed fellow student Sophia Czarowicz off the roof of a garage at a rowdy party on Aug. 31 after several students told her to jump.

Several attendees of the party captured the moment on their cellphones.

Shortly after, police showed up to shut down the party and arrested Marquez on the spot.

Czarowicz suffered only minor injuries because her fall was broken by spectators below.

She said that she didn't plan to jump off the roof, despite partygoers suggesting she do so, and that she has never met Marquez before he pushed her.

Marquez denied the assault charges against him, but he is being held on $5,000 cash bail.
