California Man Accused Of Burning Puppy Alive In Crate

An Oakland, California, man has been arrested for allegedly burning a small puppy alive in a crate.

According to reports, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a call of a small debris fire on the street on Jan. 22. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters were horrified to discover that the object was a dog crate and inside was the charred, lifeless body of a puppy believe to be eight or nine months old.

Upon examination, it was determined that the puppy was a small, tan-colored, mixed-breed female and was actually burned alive.

Following an investigation, police were able to track down 20-year-old Willie Bee Turner as a potential suspect thanks to tips from the public. On Thursday, Turner was arrested and his bail was set at $35,000. He is currently being held at Sacramento County Main Jail on charges of animal cruelty.
