Burglar Breaks In Through Doggie Door, Steals Bike, Forgets How To Ride It (Video)

A burglar caught on surveillance footage entering a home through a doggie door failed to flee the scene on the bike he stole.

The crook didn’t disguise himself as he entered through dog flap on a Houston home around 2:30 a.m. on July 28.

Victim Doug Eldridge and his partner Tony Ragsdale were away in Galveston overnight when he says he got a phone call from his alarm company.

The suspect tried to flee the garage on a bike but tripped and flipped over it instead.

“I would say idiot,” Doug Eldridge told KHOU-TV. “He tried to flip his foot over it and caught it on the bottom tire and flipped over the bike.”

Eldridge says he only wishes his dogs, Pancho and Buddy, were on the other side of the door when the burglar came inside.

“It would have been nice for him to get bit or something, but unfortunately he didn’t,” he said.

His dogs slept through the incident and neither of them were harmed.

The burglar didn’t manage to take anything from the home, but the couple want him caught.
