The massive manhunt for a Missouri couple, nicknamed "Bonnie and Clyde," ended in a shootout with officers.
Blake Fitzgerald and Brittany Nicole Harper were reportedly involved in a gunfight with police in the Florida panhandle following a long chase (a car chase, then a foot chase and then another car chase). Fitzgerald used Harper as a human shield during the shootout, with the woman sustaining several gunshot injuries. Fitzgerald was killed.
The couple was previously wanted for a string of robberies and kidnappings in Missouri, Georgia, Alabama and Florida, and Harper now faces several charges — including home invasion, robbery, false imprisonment and grand theft auto.
