Bobby Alexander, 20, was arrested in Mariposa County, California, for robbing a woman’s house. Alexander reportedly stole a smart TV, Blu-ray player, laptop and a surround sound system.

The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office indicated that a woman reported the crime on Mar. 4. Mariposa County is about 70 miles north of Fresno, California.

Since the police did not have any immediate leads, the thief had a few days to get settled with his new toys. A few days after the robbery, the victim noticed that someone else was watching movies on her Netflix account.

She told the sheriff’s office that the account was linked to the missing smart TV.

According to the police, they used the user’s IP address and Netflix information to identify where it was being used. Tracking the IP address led them to Bobby Alexander, of Mariposa.

After finding the stolen equipment in Alexander’s home, police charged him with burglary.

According to officials, he is being held on $75,000 bail.
