Beaver Borough, Pennsylvania Bans Sledding for Non-Residents

The Beaver Borough, Pennsylvania City Council recently alerted citizens that snow sledding is limited to only residents. But the rules don't stop there. Sledding is banned in Wayne Square Park because someone had an accident. In Roosevelt Park, all children under 12 must wear helmets,

Whitney Brady, borough manager, told KDKA-TV: “There are safety measures attached to these restrictions to insure the safety of the community.”

The ban on friends and relatives from other communities and non-residents was recommended by the borough’s insurance company says Brady: “We are keeping the taxpayers dollars in the community by asking that only taxpayers sled ride in the community.”
