Police have released the identity of the paraplegic woman whose decomposing body was discovered in a suitcase at a San Diego home, where the mother had been storing it for several months.
The serving of an eviction notice turned into an episode of "Law and Order" on March 3, when deputies arrived at a Lakeside apartment and discovered the decomposing body of Brooke Macbeth, Fox 5 reports.
The victim’s mother, Bonnie Macbeth, 58, reportedly directed the deputies to a large duct-tape covered suitcase. They opened it and found the remains of the woman’s body, according to sheriff’s officials.
Investigators said she appeared to have been dead for anywhere between six months to a year. They are awaiting the results from postmortem examinations to determine the cause of death.
