Colorado Movie Theater Killer James Holmes Assaulted In Prison

Aurora, Colorado, movie theater shooter James Holmes was reportedly attacked in prison. 

Holmes, who is currently serving time at Colorado State Penitentiary, was assaulted by fellow inmate Mark “Slim” Daniels on Oct. 8 while Holmes was being moved between cells, Adrienne Jacobson, spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Corrections, told the Denver Post.

Daniels, 27, reportedly lunged at Holmes, 27, while they passed each other and took several swings at him. 

Daniels was charged with assault for the incident.

Holmes is currently serving 12 life terms plus 3,000 years without parole for the murder of 12 people at a movie theater in Aurora in 2012. The shooting injured 70 people.
