An Arkansas man was arrested after he attacked a woman with a bat in a Fort Smith Walmart.

A Walmart surveillance video shows the man, Corey Mosley, approaching Ashlyne Rogers and then hitting her on the back of the head with a bat. After attacking Rogers, Mosley ran from the store and was later arrested in his home, according to Breitbart.

Mosley pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Wednesday. He is currently in custody and being held on a $20,000 bond.

Marcus Mosley, Corey Mosley’s brother, said he thinks that his brother is mentally unstable because he is off his medication.

"I apologize to the young lady and her family," Marcus Mosley said.

According to police, Corey Mosley wanted to re-create a movie scene where someone had hit another person with a bat. Mosley said that his actions were related to gangs, officials said.

Rogers is recovering from the attack, said Dustin Rogers, her father.

"I couldn’t be happier based on the situation of how she’s doing and holding up," Dustin Rogers said.
