An Arizona man offered free haircuts for a year, an iPad and iPod to a undercover detective in exchange for killing his grandfather, police said.
The Daily Mail reports that 20-year-old Devin Almejo posted an ad on Craigslist seeking a gun to kill his grandfather. The officer responded to the ad and met up with Almejo in a grocery store parking lot Wednesday night.
Police said that Almejo accepted the undercover cop’s alleged offer to kill the relative for him because he did not much have experience using guns.
“He would provide the keys to a recreational vehicle where the defendant and the proposed victim live,” according to police records.

Almejo also posted messages on his Facbook saying, “I just killed my grandfather,” and tweeted, “I am going to kill my grandfather – I need a gun.”
“We got a couple calls that came into the department. We had some family members of other officers on the department that called their relatives and said, hey I don't know if this is real.. if this is somebody pranking their buddy, but you probably should look at this,” said Detective Steve Berry.
“We're talking about a homicide here,” Detective Berry adds. “We're talking about murder. This is serious. Are you sure this is something you want to do? Something you want to go through with? Statements of that nature.. and each and every time, the suspect answers in the affirmative yes.”
According to the Daily Mail, Devin Matthew Almejo was given three chances to cancel the meeting at supermarket parking lot on Wednesday night, when the hit on his “friend” was talked about, but refused and “answered that he was goo with the murder,” police say.
