Angry Parent, Robert Dale Esparza Jr. Creates Fake Porn Profile in Asst. Principal's Name

In Gilbert, Arizona, Robert Dale Esparza Jr. took revenge on his son's assistant principal, Frank Hendricsen, for taking away his kid's iPod.

Esparza Jr. went on a pornographic web site and created a fake profile in Hendricsen's name. The profile included pictures of Hendricsen from the school's web site and some sexually explicit photos that Esparza Jr. found on Craigslist.

Court documents show Esparza Jr. also posted sexually explicit comments on the page and linked pornographic videos to the site.

The Hendricsen later applied for a principal's job in another district, which checked him out on Google and found the site with his name all over it.

Det. Dennis Ogorchock told CBS News 5 that he used the IP address to track down Esparza Jr., who "was using his work laptop to post on the site."

"In the first interview he denied doing it at all and tried to blame it on his son," Det. Ogorchock said.

Dr. Denise Birdwell, the superintendent at the Higley Unified School District, knew Hendricsen wouldn't do something like that and helped clear his name.

Hendricsen has since been hired as principal at another school in the Higley district.

Esparza Jr. was found guilty of computer tampering and identity theft.  He'll be sentenced next month.

Identity theft? Ludicrous.

Identity theft? Ludicrous. This is nothing more than misdemeanor-level harrassment, if anything at all.

I hope he gets the harshest

I hope he gets the harshest sentence possible. What a scumbag. I wonder how impressed his son is now, after Dad tried to pin it on him. I hope the apple gets a clue and rolls far away from this diseased tree.

I'm very against more

I'm very against more government but people should have to test to be a parent.

defamation of character...

defamation of character... Nice. Time to enforce a strict set of laws against this child in a adult's body.

We definitely need laws to

We definitely need laws to regulate cybercrime, but in a way, this is kinda funny. Sorry, I just hate the "rule and regulation" types.

Caught by his IP address?

Caught by his IP address? Considering how easy it is to spoof that item, he should have been caught, For that matter, perhaps he should have been asking if his son was using his iPod in school? Is he sending his son there to learn something or to waste his time?

We are going to need more

We are going to need more laws when dealing with cyber crime of this sort. Revenge taking that defames an individual needs to be punished harshly. What bothers me most is that the child broke the school rules and rather than enforcing proper behavior at school, the father decided to take revenge against the school principal. What a great example he set for his kids and other kids. What is wrong with people in this country????

There are laws about

There are laws about defamation of character either through libel or slander. I'm certain that they will apply here. More laws are not needed, only to enforce those that already apply.
